Michelin’s is creating an airless car tire that won’t ever get a flat

Michelin is partnering with GM to design Michelin’s Uptis, that will be available on certain vehicles starting as early as 2024.

Ever had a tire that went flat?? What about a brand new tire that you just spent your hard earned money on bust due to hazards in the roads or weather conditions….

Well for decade’s, one of the top major manufacturer of automobile tires has e been working to develop airless tires, which thet believe could last longer and offer significant environmental benefits.

New Atlas has reported on Uptis which Michelen recently showcased the tires to the public during an event that was held in Munich, Germany. The the spokes are designed to be tuned to a certain stiffness for personal characteristics like acceleration and braking.

A vehicle was test driven using Uptis tires, people who were selected to be apart of the test runs said that the experience was the same as driving on a regular set of tires. Production is due to start as early as 2024.
