Joshua Brown, the neighbor of Botham Jean has been killed. He was a key withness that testified in the case against Amber Guyger, a Dallas TX police officer the who gunned down Jean who was unarmed and in his own apartment.
According to the reports, Joshua Brown was postively identifield by police and Medical Examiner. His body was found late Friday night with multiple bulet wounds. Some reports are saying it was close range and he was shot in the chest and the mouth. Others are saying his back and side. We will have to wait on the aotopsy to confirm.
S. Lee Merritt, the same lawyer who represented Jean’s family and is now working with Brown’s relatives. During the interview with TODAY he spoke on an incident that happened at a birthday party months prior, that Brown was attending, which lead to Joshua being shot in the foot and his friend being killed.
Merritt said he’s family said that he worried about “people who wished him harm,” and. How him testifying in the Botham Jean case could make him look like a “snitch”.
Merritt said no clues point to this being a retaliation but said. “it is certainly worth investigating or looking into and we expect the city of Dallas to apply all of its resources and manpower to figure out what happened.”
